Loudness of Silence

Hi David,

After reading this in one of your blogs:

“Liveliness is the Shakti quality that enlivens consciousness into flow, including bliss. We can define bliss as the lively inner surface of self-aware consciousness.”

This was (again!) another one of your zingers that got to me. Maybe not what you meant in the above quote, but I wanted to write to you about the glorious “noise” of liveliness.

I can be in a deep and silent meditation and am aware how “loud” diversity appears to be.  It seems to come fully formed, like a musical note – clear and piercing.  So the “noise” is very, very different from the Silence.  It doesn’t seem to have gradations…just silence and then glorious “noise” that has no sound.

Really cool sh**t.

Just saying.

Warm breezes flowing your way!

Davidya’s Response:

There are a number of ways of experiencing the sound of creation. Some feel it bodily, like its being reformed in every moment. Others hear a high pitched tone, similar (but not the same as) tinnitus. Others, a low rumble. Or Aum. Or as being done by devata. Or as a vibrating ocean. Or as you say, a silent sound.

Sometimes, the process feels instantaneous and ongoing. Other times, it can be seen as arising in stages. Kind of zoomed in.
Some will experience all of these styles, others just one.

Yeah, very cool. The amount of intelligence involved…
